On a side note, if you like the mixture of English and French, then you should seriously consider Montreal or Ottawa / Gatineau (two cities, in two provinces, but effectively just one city - a river runs through it) - where you get a nice mix of English and French (I know there are a lot of Filipinos in Ottawa, not sure about Montreal).

Your surname is Spanish in origin, not French. I have no idea why people would send you e-mails in French. Oops! Didn't notice the earlier one (or maybe I wasn't paying attention).
yup, my surname is indeed Spanish. But what I meant is that my first name is french. So French first name + Spanish surname = people thinking perhaps im defitely European and most probably french.
